Isaiah 54:4 (ERVEN) Easy to Read - English

1 Woman, be happy! You have not had any children, but you should be very happy. The Lord says, "The woman who is alone will have more children than the woman with a husband."
2 Make your tent bigger. Open your doors wide. Don't think small! Make your tent large and strong,
3 because you will grow in all directions. Your children will take over many nations and live in the cities that were destroyed.
4 Don't be afraid! You will not be disappointed. People will not say bad things against you. You will not be embarrassed. When you were young, you felt shame. But you will forget that shame now. You will not remember the shame that you felt because you lost your husband.
5 Your real husband is the one who made you. His name is the Lord All-Powerful. The Holy One of Israel is your Protector, and he is the God of all the earth!
6 You were like a woman whose husband had left her. You were very sad in your spirit, when the Lord called you to be his. You were like a woman who married young, and then her husband left her when God called you to be his.
7 God says, "I left you, but only for a short time. But with all my love, I will bring you back to me again.
8 I became angry and turned away from you for a short time. But I will comfort you with kindness forever." The Lord your Savior said this.
9 God says, "Remember, in Noah's time I punished the world with the flood. But I made a promise to Noah that I would never again destroy the world with a flood. In the same way, I promise that I will never again be angry with you and say bad things to you.
10 "The mountains may disappear, and the hills may become dust, but my faithful love will never leave you. I will make peace with you, and it will never end." The Lord who loves you said this.
11 "You poor city! Enemies came against you like storms, and no one comforted you. But I will rebuild you. I will use a beautiful mortar to lay the stones of your walls. I will use sapphire stones when I lay the foundation.
12 The stones on top of the wall will be made from rubies. I will use shiny jewels for the gates. I will use precious stones to build the walls around you.
13 Your children will all be followers of God. And they will have real peace.
14 You will be built on goodness. You will be safe from cruelty and fear. So you will have nothing to fear. Nothing will come to hurt you.
15 I will never send anyone to attack you. And if any army tries to attack you, you will defeat them.
16 "Look, I made the blacksmith. He blows on the fire to make it hotter. Then he takes the hot iron and makes the kind of tool he wants to make. In the same way, I made the 'Destroyer' to destroy things.
17 "People will make weapons to fight against you, but their weapons will not defeat you. Some people will say things against you, but anyone who speaks against you will be proved wrong." The Lord says, "That is what my servants get! They get the good things that come from me.

2 Enlarge H7337 the place H4725 CMS of thy tent H168 , and let them stretch forth H5186 VHY3MP the curtains H3407 of thine habitations H4908 : spare H2820 not H408 NPAR , lengthen H748 thy cords H4340 , and strengthen H2388 thy stakes H3489 ;
3 For H3588 CONJ thou shalt break forth H6555 on the right hand H3225 NFS and on the left H8040 ; and thy seed H2233 shall inherit H3423 the Gentiles H1471 NMP , and make the desolate H8074 cities H5892 to be inhabited H3427 .
4 Fear H3372 not H408 NPAR ; for H3588 CONJ thou shalt not H3808 NADV be ashamed H954 : neither H408 ADV be thou confounded H3637 ; for H3588 CONJ thou shalt not H3808 NADV be put to shame H2659 : for H3588 CONJ thou shalt forget H7911 the shame H1322 NFS of thy youth H5934 , and shalt not H3808 NADV remember H2142 the reproach H2781 of thy widowhood H491 any more H5750 ADV .
5 For H3588 CONJ thy Maker H6213 is thine husband H1166 ; the LORD H3068 EDS of hosts H6635 is his name H8034 CMS-3MS ; and thy Redeemer H1350 the Holy One H6918 of Israel H3478 ; The God H430 CDP of the whole H3605 CMS earth H776 D-GFS shall he be called H7121 .
6 For H3588 CONJ the LORD H3068 EDS hath called H7121 thee as a woman H802 forsaken H5800 and grieved H6087 in spirit H7307 NFS , and a wife H802 W-CFS of youth H5271 , when H3588 CONJ thou wast refused H3988 , saith H559 VQQ3MS thy God H430 .
7 For a small H6996 AMS moment H7281 have I forsaken H5800 thee ; but with great H1419 AMP mercies H7356 will I gather H6908 thee .

10 For H3588 CONJ the mountains H2022 shall depart H4185 , and the hills H1389 be removed H4131 ; but my kindness H2617 shall not H3808 ADV depart H4185 from thee , neither H3808 NADV shall the covenant H1285 of my peace H7965 be removed H4131 , saith H559 VQQ3MS the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS that hath mercy H7355 on thee .
11 O thou afflicted H6041 , tossed with tempest H5590 , and not H3808 NADV comforted H5162 , behold H2009 IJEC , I H595 PPRO-1MS will lay H7257 thy stones H68 with fair colors H6320 , and lay thy foundations H3245 with sapphires H5601 .
12 And I will make H7760 W-VQQ1MS thy windows H8121 of agates H3539 , and thy gates H8179 of carbuncles H68 8 H688 , and all H3605 W-CMS thy borders H1366 of pleasant H2656 stones H68 .
13 And all H3605 W-CMS thy children H1121 shall be taught H3928 of the LORD H3068 EDS ; and great H7227 W-JMS shall be the peace H7965 of thy children H1121 .
14 In righteousness H6666 shalt thou be established H3559 : thou shalt be far H7368 from oppression H6233 ; for H3588 CONJ thou shalt not H3808 NADV fear H3372 : and from terror H4288 ; for H3588 CONJ it shall not H3808 ADV come near H7126 thee .
15 Behold H2005 IJEC , they shall surely gather together H1481 , but not H657 by PART-2MS me : whosoever H4310 IPRO shall gather together H1481 against H854 PART-2MS thee shall fall H5307 for H5921 thy sake .
16 Behold H2009 , I H595 PPRO-1MS have created H1254 VQQ1MS the smith H2796 that bloweth H5301 the coals H6352 in the fire H784 , and that bringeth forth H3318 an instrument H3627 for his work H4639 ; and I H595 W-PPRO-1MS have created H1254 VQQ1MS the waster H7843 to destroy H2254 .
17 No H3808 NADV weapon H3627 CMS that is formed H3335 against H5921 thee shall prosper H6743 ; and every H3605 NMS tongue H3956 NMS that shall rise H6965 against H854 PART-2MS thee in judgment H4941 thou shalt condemn H7561 .
