Ecclesiastes 3:1 (ERVEN) Easy to Read - English

1 There is a right time for everything, and everything on earth will happen at the right time.
2 There is a time to be born and a time to die. There is a time to plant and a time to pull up plants.
3 There is a time to kill and a time to heal. There is a time to destroy and a time to build.
4 There is a time to cry and a time to laugh. There is a time to be sad and a time to dance with joy.
5 There is a time to throw weapons down and a time to pick them up. There is a time to hug someone and a time to stop holding so tightly.
6 There is a time to look for something and a time to consider it lost. There is a time to keep things and a time to throw things away.
7 There is a time to tear cloth and a time to sew it. There is a time to be silent and a time to speak.
8 There is a time to love and a time to hate. There is a time for war and a time for peace.
9 Do people really gain anything from their hard work?
10 I saw all the hard work God gave us to do.
11 God gave us the ability to think about his world, but we can never completely understand everything he does. And yet, he does everything at just the right time.
12 I learned that the best thing for people to do is to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live.
13 God wants everyone to eat, drink, and enjoy their work. These are gifts from God.
14 I learned that anything God does will continue forever. People cannot add anything to the work of God, and they cannot take anything away from it. God did this so that people would respect him.
15 What happened in the past has happened, and what will happen in the future will happen. But God wants to help those who have been treated badly.
16 I also saw these things in this life: I saw that the courts should be filled with goodness and fairness, but there is evil there now.
17 So I said to myself, "God has planned a time for everything, and he has planned a time to judge everything people do. He will judge good people and bad people."
18 I thought about what people do to each other. And I said to myself, "God wants people to see that they are like animals.
19 The same thing happens to animals and to people�they die. People and animals have the same 'breath.' Is a dead animal different from a dead person? It is all so senseless!
20 The bodies of people and animals end the same way. They came from the earth, and, in the end, they will go back to the earth.
21 Who knows what happens to a person's spirit? Who knows if a human's spirit goes up to God while an animal's spirit goes down into the ground?"
22 So I saw that the best thing people can do is to enjoy what they do, because that is all they have. Besides, no one can help another person see what will happen in the future.

6 A time H6256 to get, H1245 and a time H6256 to lose; H6 a time H6256 to keep, H8104 and a time H6256 to cast away; H7993
7 A time H6256 to rend, H7167 and a time H6256 to sew; H8609 a time H6256 to keep silence, H2814 and a time H6256 to speak; H1696
8 A time H6256 to love, H157 and a time H6256 to hate; H8130 a time H6256 of war, H4421 and a time H6256 of peace. H7965
9 What H4100 profit H3504 hath he that worketh H6213 in that wherein H834 he H1931 laboreth H6001 ?
10 I have seen H7200 H853 the travail, H6045 which H834 God H430 hath given H5414 to the sons H1121 of men H120 to be exercised H6031 in it.
11 He hath made H6213 H853 every H3605 thing beautiful H3303 in his time: H6256 also H1571 he hath set H5414 H853 the world H5769 in their heart, H3820 so that H834 no H4480 H1097 man H120 can find out H4672 H853 the work H4639 that H834 God H430 maketh H6213 from the beginning H4480 H7218 to H5704 the end. 12 I know H3045 that H3588 there is no H369 good H2896 in them, but H518 for H3588 a man to rejoice, H8055 and to do H6213 good H2896 in his life. H2416
13 And also H1571 that every man should eat H7945 H398 H3605 H120 and drink, H8354 and enjoy H7200 the good H2896 of all H3605 his labor, H5999 it H1931 is the gift H4991 of God. H430
14 I know H3045 that, H3588 whatsoever H3605 H834 God H430 doeth, H6213 it H1931 shall be H1961 forever: H5769 nothing H369 can be put H3254 to H5921 it, nor H369 any thing taken H1639 from H4480 it : and God H430 doeth H6213 it , that men should fear H7945 H3372 before H4480 H6440 him.
15 That which hath been H4100 H7945 H1961 is now; H3528 and that H1931 which H834 is to be H1961 hath already H3528 been; H1961 and God H430 requireth that which is past. H7291
16 And moreover H5750 I saw H7200 under H8478 the sun H8121 the place H4725 of judgment, H4941 that wickedness H7562 was there; H8033 and the place H4725 of righteousness, H6664 that iniquity H7562 was there. H8033
17 I H589 said H559 in mine heart, H3820 God H430 shall judge H8199 H853 the righteous H6662 and the wicked: H7563 for H3588 there is a time H6256 there H8033 for every H3605 purpose H2656 and for H5921 every H3605 work. H4639
18 I H589 said H559 in mine heart H3820 concerning H5921 the estate H1700 of the sons H1121 of men, H120 that God H430 might manifest H1305 them , and that they H1992 might see H7200 that they H7945 themselves are beasts. H929
19 For H3588 that which befalleth H4745 the sons H1121 of men H120 befalleth H4745 beasts; H929 even one thing H259 befalleth H4745 them : as the one H2088 dieth, H4194 so H3651 dieth H4194 the other; H2088 yea , they have all H3605 one H259 breath; H7307 so that a man H120 hath no H369 preeminence H4195 above H4480 a beast: H929 for H3588 all H3605 is vanity. 21 Who H4310 knoweth H3045 the spirit H7307 of man H120 that H1931 goeth H5927 upward, H4605 and the spirit H7307 of the beast H929 that H1931 goeth H3381 downward H4295 to the earth H776 ?
22 Wherefore I perceive H7200 that H3588 there is nothing H369 better, H2896 than that H4480 H834 a man H120 should rejoice H8055 in his own works; H4639 for H3588 that H1931 is his portion: H2506 for H3588 who H4310 shall bring H935 him to see H7200 what shall be H4100 H7945 H1961 after H310 him?
